Samsung Galaxy S6 Flagships Receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow Now

Samsung has finally gotten around to rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It’s just as well really as the current flagships are about to be replaced by the Galaxy S7 range at the end of February at MWC. So, at least many Galaxy S6 owners will have Marshmallow by then.

At the moment the update seems to be happening in South Korea and nowhere else, so it may be some weeks before we see Marshmallow going on a world tour for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. As is usual, Android 6.0 is descending on the SK GS6 variants via and over the air update.

Samsung has recently been testing the beta build of its Marshmallow release in its homeland and in the United Kingdom, and as such we expect the UK will be the next market to get the update. Sammy could still throw a curveball in that regard though. Either way, all Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners should now be on the lookout for the upgrade in the next few weeks.
